Rastas ry is the parents' association of Rastaala School in Espoo. The funds we raise bring the school the things the timetable does not cover and give the school community a spirit that cannot be bought.
Balls, skipping ropes, hoops and bats. When there's something to do in the yard, break time flies by and nobody is left standing alone by the wall.
Sports
We help cover the cost of the school's Dream Sports Day. One day a year when the whole school moves together and that the children remember long after.
In spring
In spring we award the encouragement grants.
The recognition doesn't always go to the best grade, but to the one who tried.
You can take part by volunteering, or simply by paying the annual fee — €20 per family. Both help. Leave your details and the board will be in touch.

Association
Rastas ry, the parents' association of Rastaala School in Espoo, was founded on 29 September 1993. With the funds it raises, the association buys sports equipment for break time and instruments for the music room, and contributes to the cost of the Dream Sports Day. The encouragement grants awarded in spring and the pupils' flowers are also paid for from the association's funds.
More important than anything we buy is our aim to strengthen the sense of community and safety among the school's pupils, staff and parents. Organising shared events shows our children how to do things together and creates good memories.
1993
Purpose
To promote cooperation between home and school.
To support home and school in creating a good environment for the child to learn and grow in, and to promote the child's balanced, well-rounded development.
To voice parents' views on questions concerning school and upbringing.
To act as a body through which parents work together.
Board 2025–2026
The board runs things actively with the support of the classes. All members are welcome at board meetings, check the time with a board member or on Facebook.
